How do I open a tab?
Open the Untabbed app, find a participating bar on the map, tap it, and tap "Open Tab." We place a payment-authorization hold on your card, and you'll see it appear in your bank app within a few seconds. Drinks land on your tab as they're ordered.
What if my card is declined when I close out?
Make sure the card on file is current and has available balance. You can update your payment method in Settings > Payment. If you still hit a decline, the venue may pursue you directly for the unpaid amount. See our Terms of Service, Section 5.
I forgot to close my tab. What happens?
If you don't close your tab yourself, the Untabbed app automatically closes it at 3:00 AM local venue time and captures your running total plus a default tip. You'll get a Stripe receipt by email. To avoid the default tip, close your tab manually before you leave.
Why is there a hold on my card I don't recognize?
When you open a tab, we place an authorization hold so the venue knows there's a real payment method behind your order. The hold is captured (or released) when the tab closes. The merchant on the charge will show the venue's name.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings > "Delete my account." Alternatively, email support@untabbedapp.com and we'll handle it for you. We delete or anonymize your data per our Privacy Policy, except where we're required to retain it (tax/accounting/fraud).
How does Untabbed handle my payment info?
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only the last four digits, the card brand, the expiration date, and a token that lets us charge the card via Stripe. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why does Untabbed ask for my location?
So we can show you bars near you on the map. We collect approximate location only and never sell or share it. You can disable location at any time in your device settings. The rest of the app still works, but the map won't auto-center on you.
Is the app available where I live?
Untabbed is launching at participating bars in select cities. Check the map for venues near you. If you're interested in bringing Untabbed to your favorite bar, email support@untabbedapp.com.

Email support@untabbedapp.com or visit the For Bars page. We'll get you set up with a Stripe Connect account and the Untabbed for Businesses app.
